Myths About Guys and Sex

Published: November 6, 2013

This post is for you, ladies. You’ve heard good things, bad things, and very ugly things about men and sex. But what should you believe? Below are a couple of things you may have heard, but should definitely ignore!

Don’t believe that:

1. Having sex with a guy will make him like you more.

This is not true at all. Lasting relationships are built on trust, patience, and respect. Any guy that will not wait until you are ready to have sex, however long that may be, isn’t a guy you want to be with. Wait until you’re ready, and if he cares about you, he will wait too.

2. In a relationship, guys only want sex

Don’t tell them I said this, but men have emotions, just like women. They get jealous and nervous. They get sad and stressed. However, they may not show these emotions because they don't want to be seen as "unmanly." In a relationship, your guy will appreciate many things other than sex. Sometimes he will want to listen to your problems. Sometimes he will want to talk about his problems. Back rubs, hugging, and kissing are fun for him too.

Sure, guys like sex, but girls do too. But a relationship lasts longest if the two people involved can find ways to enjoy each other’s company in many ways and under many circumstances.
