If you are not planning for a child, and you’re not ready emotionally or financially, things can get tricky moneywise. A lot of times people don’t consider the cost of raising a child.
Did you know that the average cost of raising a child in the United States is approximately $245,000?
Did you know that the average cost, without insurance, for vaginal birth is about $30,000?
Did you know that the average cost, without insurance, for a C-section is about $50,000?
These numbers are high! If you’re not planning to have a baby, the cost of a child is through the roof, especially when you haven’t thought about the financial side.
On the flip side, contraception (condoms, birth control, etc.) is way, way cheaper than the cost of raising a child. Condoms cost a lot less than diapers. And the cheapest of them all? Abstinence—it’s FREE!
